This table's faan values
"Hong Kong Old Style" is a family of house rules, not one canon — tables disagree on the value of 清一色 and on whether 七對子 exists at all. What follows is exactly what this app computes with.
Faan to points (半辣上下)
Who pays
- Won on a discard: only the player who discarded pays — the full amount.
- Won on your own draw (自摸): all three opponents pay, each the full amount.
Defaults
- A minimum of 3 faan to declare a win.
- The limit (滿糊) sits at 10 faan — every limit hand pays the same.
- 七對子 (seven pairs) is off — it is not part of the Hong Kong classic.
- The dealer stays on after their own win and after a draw (連莊).
